Assessment Summit
2023 Assessment Summit Highlights Video:
The 2022 virtual Assessment Summit was another successful, fun and engaging event for faculty, staff and administrators. With the use of an easier Zoom platform and assistance from our Summit Committee members, we were also able to incorporate two additional tracks: leaders and administrative assistants. This year’s olympic sized event featured an introductory opening ceremony and three 30-minute concurrent breakout sessions, where presenters and attendees had the opportunity to incorporate an Olympics/sports-related theme to build on last year’s event. Three external speakers also added their expertise and knowledge to share institutional effectiveness practices.
The breakout sessions were followed by some games and voting opportunities to select the best “presenter athlete.” The event concluded with a closing ceremony to acknowledge key players on the Assessment Team. Numerous faculty and staff were recognized for their various contributions to the culture of assessment, customer service, and advisement.
There were more than 190 faculty/staff members present at this informative, engaging, and fun virtual summit. After a successful MSCHE reaffirmation process, this event proved to be a true celebration of DSU’s assessment culture. Some testimonials from attendees are below:
