Dates and Deadlines
New first-year students will be invited to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session at their campus of admission. You will speak with advisers during NSO who will discuss your ALEKS score, your academic interests, and your academic background with you. Advisers will help you schedule appropriate courses during orientation.
It is mandatory for each new student to complete the ALEKS Math Placement Assessment before their scheduled New Student Orientation date. The placement assessment is now open for the 2019 Fall admitted students, allowing for you to complete at least one retake prior to your scheduled NSO. Failure to take the ALEKS math assessment prior to your selected NSO date may alter your NSO schedule of activities.
* NOTE: You will not need to take the ALEKS Assessment if you have taken and passed a college-level math (submission of official transcript(s) from previous institution(s) required for evaluation). High school Advanced Placement scores can be considered upon submission of official scores.
