Profiles in giving
Our donors are some of the most important stakeholders we have at the University—they are alumni, parents, volunteers, and individuals who understand that equity in education has been at the cornerstone of Delaware State University since our inception in 1891.
Our first of many donor profiles come from Janet Tillman & Richard Speck, a couple from the Wilmington area who have generously created an Endowed Scholarship Fund at DSU and plan to make a Bequest gift to the University. Read their story
We are currently collecting stories from our donors to feature in this brand new “Profiles in Giving” section. We encourage you to reach out and tell us your DSU story. Please contact dsufoundation [at] desu.edu (subject: Donor%20Story%20Submission) , so we can feature your story in our next donor profile.
DSU Giving Society
We are eternally grateful to the donors who have built a legacy here at Delaware State University through a lifetime of commitment and support. Our Giving Society recognizes donors who have donated $1,000 or more during their lifetime, with at least one of those contributions made within the past five years.
Donors can qualify for the Giving Society through their giving to support the annual fund, scholarships, bequests and planned gifts, and more.
Our full listing of DSU Giving Society donors and Giving Society levels is available in our DSU Gratitude Reception Program Booklet.
Giving Society members will receive not only the pride of making a lasting impact, they are invited to DSU’s Annual Donor Gratitude Reception and have a variety of opportunities to interact with the students whose lives they have forever changed.
