Prospective International Students
The Office of Admissions reviews DSU Applications and issues the acceptance letters to the university therefore; before you apply to DSU, please review the information on International Admissions to learn more about admission requirements for international students. Once you review the requirements, please complete the online application for admission.
The Office of International Affairs issues the Form I-20 AB Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Students once the prospective student gains acceptance to the University and submits the below documents.
- Application for I-20;
- Financial Statement for F-1 Students and;
- Affidavit of Support for Room & Board (if you will reside off-campus)
If the prospective student will receive a full DSU scholarship, award letter, stipend, etc; submit the Application for I-20 and a COPY OF THE AWARD LETTER/SCHOLARSHIP/STIPEND showing the exact amount of funds you will be receiving and the duration of the award/scholarship.
If the prospective student will receive a DSU partial scholarship, award letter, stipend, etc; submit the Application for I-20, a COPY OF THE AWARD LETTER/SCHOLARSHIP/STIPEND showing the exact amount of funds you will be receiving and the duration of the award/scholarship/stipend. You must also submit the Financial Statement for F-1 Students (along with the requested attachments stated on the form) to show you have sufficient funds for the balance of your tuition, fees and living expenses which the award letter/scholarship/stipend WILL NOT cover.
If you are currently on an F-1 student visa with an I-20 from a school in the US and plan to transfer to DSU please be sure to complete the International Student Transfer Form along with your I-20 packet.
