Summer 2024 Housing
At this time, Delaware State University will be offering limited summer housing at Warren Franklin. As a reminder, to be eligible for Summer Housing, all students are required to complete the Move-Out process from their respective buildings and show proof that you are registered for summer courses or working in a university position. All residents must move out after the Spring semester has concluded by May 3rd. Then return when summer school move in’s start (TBA). The same is required after summer move out to fall 24’ move-ins.
What is Summer Housing and am I Eligible?
Summer housing at Delaware State University is the opportunity for DSU students to live on-campus during the summer months. Students who wish to apply and live in on-campus housing during the 2024 summer must be a registered Delaware State University student taking summer courses or employed by the University in some capacity.
Cost of Housing for Summer 2024
- Session #1: $800
- Session #2: $800
- Entire Summer: $1600
For summer 2024, summer housing will be in Warren Franklin. There is not an option to live in a building other than the one designated for summer housing.
Note: Once Warren Franklin reaches full capacity, no more summer housing applications will be accepted.
Intent to Live in Summer Housing
The Summer School Housing application is available will be available online March 13th. The open enrollment period to declare your intent to live in summer housing will begin on March 13th – May 3rd . This will be sent out to all current residents and those not on campus (new or transfer students with paid deposit) will need to email us at housing [at] desu.edu by May 3rd to receive an application.

Roommate Requests
Students will have the opportunity to request the roommates they would like to live with in summer housing when completing the Summer Housing form. The Housing office will assign students to their summer room assignments and try to accommodate all roommate requests. However, assignments are based on many factors, such as the summer sessions that students will be attending and the spaces available. Additionally, please keep in mind that you can only request to live with those who have officially applied for summer housing.
