Schedule a Family Tour
Prospective students and their friends and family may request family tours five days in advance.
Pending availability, campus tours can be scheduled Monday through Friday with available time slots of 10 a.m., 12 noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
Schedule a Group Tour
Groups of 10 or more may request a group tour date at least five days in advance.

When are campus tours offered?
Family & Friend tours are offered Monday – Friday at 10 a.m., 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Group tours are offered Monday and Friday at 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Virtual tours are offered Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m, and 3:15 p.m.
Tours are not scheduled on Sundays, holidays or when the University is otherwise closed. It is important to arrive on time to your scheduled campus tour, as all tours are student led and scheduled based on their availability during scheduled class times.
How do I schedule a campus tour?
Tours can be reserved through the booking portal.
How far in advance should I schedule a campus tour?
To ensure we are keeping our students, staff, and faculty safe on campus, all tours must be booked five days in advance to ensure a negative COVID result is gained prior to entering the campus.
How will I know my campus tour has been scheduled?
All tours are based off current availability. An email confirmation will be sent immediately after booking the visit. For any reason we shall cancel, a notification will be sent out via email as well as a courtesy call.
Where do I report when I arrive on campus for my tour?
Family and group tours should report to the Visitors Center kiosk located on the 1st Floor of the Administration Building (Bldg. #39).
What does the campus tour consist of?
Tours may consist of an information session and are walking tours of the grounds and facilities to include various offices and academic departments. Dress in comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing to accommodate the weather conditions.
How long does the campus tour last?
Campus tours may last approximately one hour.
Are chaperones required to accompany student group tours?
Student groups must be accompanied by chaperones; at least one chaperone for every 10 students.
What if it rains during my scheduled campus tour?
Unless otherwise specified, tours will remain as scheduled. Please dress appropriately to accommodate the weather conditions.
What if I cannot make it to my scheduled campus tour?
If you cannot make it to or are running a little late for your scheduled campus tour, please contact the Office of Admissions as soon as possible at 302.857.6347, 302.857.6351 or email campustours [at] desu.edu. You may also cancel your visit through your reservation confirmation email. Excessive tardiness of more than 15 minutes can result in forfeiting the tour.
How do I schedule on-campus dining services for my tour group?
Tour groups seeking on-campus dining services must contact Liz Derosier, the catering director of SodexoMagic, at liz.derosier [at] sodexo.com or 302.480.3874 (lunch or dinner accommodations must be arranged prior to the visit).
Where should visitors park?
Unless otherwise specified, visitors should enter through the main front entrance of the University and obtain parking instructions at the security booth.
Does DSU offer open house sessions?
Open House sessions are offered each spring and fall term to allow students and prospective students to visit the campus.
I (or someone in my group) have a disability and will need to request accommodations for equal access. How can I do this?

Are COVID tests required before a campus tour?
Yes, to ensure the safety of our students, staff and faculty a negative COVID test is required prior to the arrival of your campus tour. Negative COVID tests must be submitted for vaccinated and non-vaccinated parties.
