Survey Research
Survey Research
Delaware State University considers survey research as a universal tool for collecting vital information from campus constituents. Data is collected by conducting surveys to inform policy, support decision making, and track progress. Populations that are surveyed often include: first-year students, currently enrolled students, graduating seniors, alumnae, and faculty and staff. This policy aims to encourage coordinated efforts and best practices in survey research to produce quality data, create opportunities for cross-collaboration and information-sharing, and promote best practices in information security and privacy.
Survey Research Using Anthology Baseline
Anthology Baseline is a platform which allows administrators to assess student learning success through surveys, polls, and benchmarking. The purpose of Baseline is to connect and translate assessment data to improve programs and services both inside and outside the classroom. Submit an Anthology Baseline user request. Requests will be responded to within 24-48 business hours.
While Baseline is the preferred University survey tool, it does not currently offer all the capabilities and features of Survey Monkey. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) has free Enterprise licenses available to use for more complex surveys. If you have a more complex survey that will need to be administered via Survey Monkey, please send an email to oie [at] desu.edu. Please allow 24-48 business hours for a response to your request. If another system is used, the researcher assumes the full responsibility for the security and privacy of the data.
