Student Concerns and State Contact Information
Delaware State University Student Concerns
The Student Concern Form is designed to provide students with a formal process to address concerns, both academic and non-academic in nature as related to their experience at Delaware State University. Delaware State University faculty and staff are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent process for all students as we engage and help them to clarify and understand University expectations and or better navigate interactions with others.
Click the link below to submit a form and be sure to upload supporting documents regarding your concern.

Delaware State University Concern Resolution Process:
- Once a concern is submitted, the faculty or staff must meet with the student to discuss the concern within five (5) working days of receipt of the written request. Following the discussion, the faculty or staff member has two days to propose a resolution in writing to the student. If the faculty or staff member fails to meet with the student within 5 days upon receipt of the written request, she/he surrenders their right to settle the complaint without the involvement of a Department Chairperson or Unit Supervisor.
- If the matter is not resolved, the student has two (2) working days to appeal to the respective department/unit in writing and request to schedule a meeting with the Department Chairperson or Unit Supervisor.
- The Department Chairperson or Unit Supervisor must meet with the student to discuss the complaint within three (3) working days of receipt of the written request. Following the meeting, the Department Chairperson or Unit Supervisor will forward a signed statement of her/his position to the parties involved (student and faculty or staff member) within seven (7) working days. If the Department Chairperson or Supervisor fails to meet any of the specified timelines, the student may appeal to the appropriate Dean or Vice President within three (3) working days.
Students will receive an acknowledgment of the complaint via the university-issued email address.
If Delaware State University is unable to reasonably resolve a problem, students can contact the Middle States Commission on Higher Education or one of the following agencies in Delaware.
